Dr. Awesh Pravin Shingare is a distinguished endocrinologist with over seven years of experience in the field. He currently holds consultant positions at M.G.M. New Bombay Hospital in Vashi and Apollo Hospital in Belapur, Navi Mumbai. Dr. Shingare has been a consultant endocrinologist since February 2017 and has been serving at M.G.M. New Bombay Hospital since May 2019 and at Apollo Hospital since December 2022.
He completed his DNB in Endocrinology from P.D. Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, in 2017, and his MD in General Medicine from Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L Nair Hospital, Mumbai, in 2012. Dr. Shingare obtained his MBBS from Indira Gandhi Government Medical College, Nagpur, in 2009.
Dr. Shingare's professional journey includes a three-year MD Medicine residency at Nair Hospital, Mumbai,
a short stint as a clinical associate in medicine at Seven Hills Hospital, Mumbai, and a year as an AMO in Medicine at RN Cooper Hospital and Kasturba Hospital, Mumbai. He also completed a three-year DNB Endocrinology training at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, and worked as an associate consultant in endocrinology there for one year and seven months.
His research contributions include studies on acute febrile illness and the use of elastography in differentiating benign and malignant thyroid nodules. Dr. Shingare has presented at numerous conferences, including RSSDI and ESICON, and has published several articles in reputable medical journals. Notable publications include works on fracture liaison services, thyrotropin-secreting pituitary macroadenomas, POEMS syndrome, and tumor-induced osteomalacia.
Dr. Shingare is a life member of the Endocrine Society of India and the Indian Society of Bone Mineral Research. He is also an active guest lecturer and speaker at various conferences and scientific meetings and has participated in numerous advisory meetings with pharmaceutical companies.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Shingare is proficient in Hindi, English, Marathi, and has elementary knowledge of Gujarati and French.
